I had previously eaten at bb.q in another location, mainly selling Korean fried chicken. The fried chicken is very delicious, although it is on the expensive side. However, when you get tired of celebrating with KFC or Pizza Hut, it's nice to change things up with different flavors.

Today, I visited the Zhi Shan store, and its exterior sign and decor are different from other locations. It specializes in personal Korean set meals. I had eaten at a similar type of restaurant in Taichung before, but I wonder if there are many now. Considering that there are quite a few Korean food places like Dwen Dofu in Taiwan, it seems personal set meals aren't very common. Plus, here you can also have Korean fried chicken. It's usually difficult to finish a serving of fried chicken alone, but this kind of restaurant meets the need for one person who wants to enjoy both Korean food and fried chicken.

I entered the restaurant around 5:30 PM, and there were quite a few customers inside. Unfortunately, I couldn't dine in today. I looked at the takeout menu, which mainly consisted of whole servings of fried chicken and did not have the set meals available for dine-in. Just as I was about to order fried chicken, the staff suddenly recommended a new Korean food bento, which included fried chicken along with rice rolls and pancakes. This immediately caught my interest, so I bought two: a fried chicken and pork belly bento, and a fried chicken and rice roll bento. I waited about 10 minutes, and when I received my order, it looked quite generous. Besides the main dish and staple food, there were also two side dishes and a bowl of fish cake soup, which looked quite delicious.

In terms of taste, I found the fried chicken to be as good as always. The only downside is that you can't choose the flavor; it only comes in honey garlic. This was my daughter's first time trying it, and after removing the garlic from the surface, she said it was a bit spicy but tasty. My husband was very satisfied with the pork belly and fried chicken, but he thought the rice portion was a bit small and not enough to match it. The rice roll contained cucumber, kimchi, and carrot, which paired nicely with mayonnaise. The sides included cold spinach salad and seasoned enoki mushrooms, which were refreshing and added a bit of vegetables to the meal. The fish cake soup was also tasty. Overall, all the flavors were good, but I felt that 250 TWD per bento was a bit pricey; it would be more cost-effective to dine in next time.

This time, I discovered that they have a new menu for dine-in that includes new Korean hot pot dishes, and they have many promotions like birthdays, add-on purchases, and honey days. Next time, I can bring the whole family to eat at the restaurant.
