"Yueyang Tofu Pudding" is located near Xingtian Temple Station, about a 2-minute walk from Exit 3. We happened to find this little shop today while looking for a place to have dessert after our main meal. It seemed to be doing well, with a steady stream of customers coming for takeout.

The shop has a semi-outdoor space but provides small fans. There are very few seats for dining in—there are no tables, only a countertop, which can accommodate about 6 people at most.

When ordering the tofu pudding, you can choose to have it with normal ice, light ice, or no ice.

The owner is very friendly; you can ask for extra spoons or ice without hesitation.

Signature Yueyang Tofu Pudding - $70
The original toppings include tapioca pearls, taro balls, sweet potato balls, and almond jelly. We arrived around 7:30 PM, and the owner mentioned that they had run out of tapioca pearls, so they substituted with taro and sweet potato balls.
The sweet potato balls had an impressive texture—very firm and chewy, with a strong sweet potato flavor that felt very authentic (I believe the taro balls are the same, but I didn't try them since I don’t eat taro).
The almond jelly was a bit of a special topping, but I found it quite complementary to the tofu pudding.

Kumquat Lemon Tofu Pudding - $80
I personally recommend not getting this with light ice; it's better to choose normal ice because if it’s not cold enough, the kumquat lemon base can taste a bit odd. The acidity is gentle, so those who are afraid of sour flavors can still enjoy it. This has only tofu pudding without any other toppings, and the flavor is refreshing. However, overall, I still prefer the signature tofu pudding.

In general, the tofu pudding is quite good; the downside is that it is a bit pricey, but it’s still enjoyable for an occasional treat.
