The dishes offered by Red Ant Teppanyaki have a unique flavor, with the basil omelet and the tender grilled tofu having an excellent texture, simple yet delicious. The cabbage and radish soup is refreshing and quite hearty.
This restaurant presents a lively atmosphere rich in Taiwanese style, allowing people to experience the authentic night market vibe.
The shop owner and the chef provide thoughtful and attentive service, and they also offer extra side dishes, making customers feel specially treated.
【Casual Diner - What to Eat】
This time I came to the Red Ant Teppanyaki at Linjiang Night Market.
Both it and the neighboring teppanyaki place are packed with customers.
Fortunately, the time I went, there were fewer people at Red Ant,
so I chose it.
★Meal:
A La Carte
Teppanyaki Tofu - $80
Basil and Scallion Egg - $50
★Thoughts:
Later I realized the signs outside show only the prices for individual dishes.
If you want rice, vegetables, soup, or drinks, you need to add another $70.
Actually, this type of teppanyaki is more about the vibe and flavors.
Red Ant unexpectedly first gave me a plate of cabbage (which isn’t on the à la carte menu, but the chef gave it to me as a treat from the owner—grateful for that).
The portion of vegetables is relatively generous compared to usual teppanyaki.
There’s also a hint of butter or margarine aroma.
The soup is radish soup.
(I don’t know if it's available on the menu, but they served it, and I drank it with gratitude.)
It is a refreshing radish soup.
The basil omelet was unexpectedly delicious with a bit of soy sauce for dipping.
Simple and tasty.
The teppanyaki tofu was stir-fried with some onions,
and the overall texture was really good.
I ordered à la carte, so I didn't have rice.
Because of this, the hot food, when savored slowly,
made me unknowingly full.
This meal cost $130.
It’s about enjoying the bustling atmosphere and Taiwanese flavors.
★Waiting Time:
If it’s crowded, you might need to wait 10-15 minutes.
For one or two people, it’s around 5-10 minutes.
