Lucy 露西早餐

3.5
1 review
Breakfast | NT$130

AI Spot Summary

The scallion pancakes and small hot dogs for Lucy's breakfast are sufficiently portioned, but the flavor is somewhat lacking; the scallion pancakes lack a bit of aroma, and the hot dogs are on the oily side. The hot black tea is generous in size, with a moderate sweetness, making it suitable for cold weather.

The restaurant is located near Zhongshan Station. Although the space is not small, it feels a bit crowded due to the number of customers. The open kitchen gives the space a slight smell of cooking oil.

Although the restaurant staff is busy, their attitude is friendly, and there are occasional cases of wrong orders being delivered.

【Foodholic Niko @ Taipei】

It's the weekend again, and I can continue exploring breakfast shops near my home!

Although the items sold at Taiwanese breakfast shops are quite similar, I still occasionally want to look for new places to try, hoping to discover hidden gems.

“Lucy Breakfast” is located near Zhongshan Station, about a 6-minute walk from Exit 2. Arriving around 11 a.m. on a Sunday, it was bustling with people. I didn't expect to find such a busy breakfast shop in the alley, and there were quite a few foreigners! (Plus, the foreigners all ordered radish cake, haha.)

The space inside cannot be described as small, but it was completely packed with customers, with tables quite close together, which created a bit of pressure. Also, since it has an open kitchen, the smell of oil and smoke was quite strong.

Because it was very busy, the owner often mixed up drinks or dishes, but they were pretty friendly overall.

Scallion Pancake with Egg $50
A large portion, baked quite crispy. After sprinkling some pepper, it was drizzled with soy sauce paste, but personally, I felt it was missing something—the fragrance of the scallion pancake. I was a bit disappointed.

Mini Hot Dogs (6 pieces) $50
It was my first time seeing a breakfast shop serve a portion of 6 hot dogs. This totally hit the spot for me as a hot dog lover! I was so happy when the little mound of hot dogs arrived!
The shop sprinkles pepper on them, which I quite like, and if you need ketchup, you can get it yourself. The hot dogs are on the softer side, not crispy-fried, which is tasty but a bit oily. It would be great if they could use less oil.

Hot Red Tea $35
Initially, I thought it was a bit pricey, but it’s a large cup—it’s served in a mug, and I almost couldn't finish it! The hot red tea is really hot; on a cold day, having a cup warms you up completely. The tea itself is sweet but not overly so—delicious!
P.S. The milk tea is also $35, which is just red tea with creamer, and it's also good!

I saw many tables ordering Kung Pao Chicken with sizzling noodles, and it looked super delicious. I’ll have to order this next time!!!
