I heard that the beef noodle restaurant often has long lines. I had previously eaten takeout from there, but this was my first time dining in. I was prepared to give up when I saw the long queue, but luckily, I was able to be seated without waiting.

The dining method involved ordering through a QR code. After placing my order, I had to pay in cash at a machine next to the counter. However, since I didn't have enough cash, I asked the staff at the counter, and they said I could make a bank transfer (thankfully), which saved me the trouble of going out to find an ATM. After completing the payment, I received a sensor, and when it vibrated, I had to go to the pickup area to collect my beef noodles. The utensils, sauces, water, and drinks (which cost extra) were all self-service. They also have a delivery robot cat that helps bring side dishes to the table, but we didn't order any.

I ordered the spicy milk broth with beef short ribs, while my friend ordered the original braised broth with beef shank heart, both with wide noodles. Both broths were quite flavorful, though somewhat salty. I found the original braised broth more palatable, while the spicy milk broth became a bit heavy towards the end, with the salty and spicy flavors being more pronounced and the milky flavor less obvious. In terms of meat, the beef shank heart had a firmer texture but was not tough, while the beef short ribs were fattier and more tender. Personally, I prefer the tender texture, so I liked the beef short ribs more. I found the portion sizes quite sufficient, and I felt very full after finishing my meal. After dining, guests need to return their utensils to the designated recycling area.

The restaurant has a spacious layout, with many Marvel and Crayon Shin-chan figurine collections. Overall, the cleanliness is good, and the staff I interacted with were quite friendly. If you're able to avoid a long wait, it's worth a try.

During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, I decided to check out a newly opened beef noodle shop in Yilan after seeing it on Instagram. Before going in, I checked Google reviews and was a bit worried; many said it was too expensive and not worth it, or that the food was too salty. However, since I was really hungry and too lazy to look for another place, I thought it was fine if it turned out to be a letdown.

This place doesn’t take reservations, but we managed to walk in smoothly at 5:00 PM when they opened. By around 6:00 PM, there were still a few tables available, so there wasn’t much of a wait. The ordering process involves scanning a QR code to select your broth first, then the meat cut, and finally to see if you want to add anything extra. Today we ordered two bowls of beef noodles with different broth and cuts; I chose tomato (my daughter’s favorite😍) and the spicy milk broth that caught my attention initially. We picked beef shank and rib for the meat, and also ordered four side dishes (blanched cabbage, preserved egg tofu with sauce, spicy preserved eggs, and BBQ pork).

The way we picked up our food was quite unique; we had to go to the serving counter for the beef noodles, while the side dishes were delivered by a machine. All four side dishes were tasty, but my favorite was the preserved egg tofu, which made the tofu rich in flavor. The spicy preserved eggs were also delicious, with a sauce similar to that used in spicy chicken, with crushed peanuts and chili oil. I thought the amount of beef in the noodles was quite generous; although there were only 3-4 pieces, each was big. We chose wide noodles, which I think are commercially available, not handmade. Personally, I loved the spicy milk broth; it wasn’t overwhelmingly spicy and had a milky, slightly spicy flavor. I didn’t find the broth too salty, and the tomato beef soup was just the typical taste you find elsewhere. The beef ribs and shank were both large and tender; I thought it was quite similar to another well-known brand in the same company, with a similar price range.

Overall, I was quite satisfied with the meal. They have over 20 different side dishes, many of which are quite unique, priced mostly between 30-100 NTD. Next time, I’d like to try the spicy intestines and beef meatballs. Although the beef noodle soup isn’t cheap at 260 NTD per bowl, the meat portions are sizeable, and the braised meat is tender and delicious, so I found it pretty acceptable. The dining environment is spacious and comfortable, so it’s definitely added to my list of places to visit often.
