Alihai should be the top buffet restaurant in Taitung City (actually, there aren't many in the whole city 🤣), located right next to the Zhengqi Night Market in the Sheraton Hotel.

This time, the opportunity to eat at the buffet was actually due to the company's year-end party. Although there were no lucky draws, as a food lover, I already feel satisfied to be able to eat at the best buffet restaurant in Taitung City, especially in this era of rising prices. This buffet restaurant charges 1,500 NT dollars per person, which makes me reminisce about the days when I could happily eat for 700 or 800 NT dollars.

However, regarding the food, the seafood did not meet my expectations. There were various types of sashimi, as well as Alaskan king crab and other types of crab, but the freshness was very ordinary, and the meat didn't have much bounce to it. On the other hand, I highly recommend the soup dishes! There were as many as 7 or 8 types of soups available, ranging from the common clam soup and beef soup to seafood chowder. The performance of the steak was excellent, cooked to a perfect medium, allowing the sweetness of the beef to shine through.

As for drinks, they provide draft beer that you can pour yourself, and there are options for Heineken and Taiwan Beer. Overall, it's not bad to visit this place once in a while!
