📍Shilin District, Taipei City (Yangmingshan Pingjing Street)
There are many well-known local chicken restaurants on Yangmingshan, some of which have even received Michelin honors. The restaurant we originally intended to visit was closed, so we quickly found this one to try. There are parking spaces available for both cars and scooters at the entrance, but there aren't many seats. The interior space is quite comfortable, and the seating area offers beautiful views of the mountains and water, making it a great place to savor food on a leisurely afternoon.
Dishes 🥘
White Cut Chicken / Half / 550 TWD:
This is free-range chicken from the mountain, and the meat is firmer but not tough. There are two types of sauces to choose from: spicy sauce and garlic soy sauce.
Cold Bamboo Shoots / 260 TWD:
A hidden dish on the blackboard, the bamboo shoots in this season are refreshing and delicious; they are very tasty even just paired with mayonnaise.
Stir-Fried Water Lily / 160 TWD:
This dish had some hair in it 🤣, mixed in with the long water lilies, which raises concerns about hygiene.
Bitter Tea Oil Noodles / 200 TWD:
The bitter tea oil is fragrant, but for 200 TWD, the portion is not substantial; you can just opt for regular noodles instead.
Due to the hair in one of the dishes, we didn't finish some of the food, and it seems the restaurant's hygiene needs improvement; there were also ants on the table. We probably won't return, as there are many other good restaurants to visit in Yangmingshan.
