Yancheng is a memory for the older generation
And a hidden treasure for our generation
There are always many mysterious shops
That even locals may not have visited🍴

Last weekend, I originally wanted to take a two-day trip to Tainan
But it just happened to coincide with the Ronin Festival
Affordable accommodations were hard to come by, and others had a low cost-performance ratio
So after discussing with my partner, we decided to stay and experience the charm of the harbor city

If you want to experience the deliciousness of the harbor city
Yancheng District is the best place to be
The local snacks always bring different memories each time
Creative shops always bring new surprises❤️

This bistro hidden in the market
Has been on my list for a long time
But due to the lack of air conditioning and the need to wait for seats
I only had the chance to visit now

That evening, it rained quite a bit⛈️
We walked there, which delayed us a little
We arrived 5 minutes after the opening time
To our surprise, the bar seats were already full
(Actually, there were also seats in the market area 🉑 but it just wasn't the same vibe)

Fortunately, we didn't have to wait more than half an hour before someone left
While waiting, we quickly decided what to order
So once seated, we promptly placed our order
The restaurant was also quick to serve
Many dishes exceeded our expectations and completely astonished our taste buds
Combined with the excellent overall local atmosphere
Even my partner couldn’t stop praising it

➰ Yancheng District Long 120 is made with sour plum juice and Shaoxing wine. I heard that the previous generation drank like this at the dock. The alcoholic taste is almost nonexistent. It's perfect as an aperitif; very easy to drink.

➰Winter Melon Dock 160 It's winter melon tea + whiskey A very refreshing taste My partner really likes it But I inexplicably feel that it's so refreshing It feels like drinking a tasty cleaning agent (?)

➰Sugar-baked stinky tofu 80 (recommendation) The number one dish in my heart that day Crispy outer skin wrapped around stinky tofu stuffed with minced meat The sugar-baking brings out the overall aroma just right Paired with square Taiwanese pickled vegetables I still reminisce about it endlessly now ∞

➰Red Tea Fish Balls 80 Fish balls sold in the public market Cooked with red tea I quite like it myself But my partner thinks it's just ordinary

➰Thousand-layer Pork Roll 80 Pork wrapped in thin tofu skin Crispy after frying + Crunchy lettuce This dish presents a rich and layered flavor.

Today's special oyster fried rice 150 It looks ordinary But tastes extraordinary The rice has a softer texture Stir-fried to perfection With the oyster being highly praised by my loved one 🦪

➰ Creamy Stir-Fried Cabbage 80🥬 I originally thought it was just plain stir-fried creamy cabbage, but it turned out to be creamy stir-fried creamy cabbage. The fresh and crisp greens combined with the aroma of butter 🧈 unexpectedly made it one of the top three satisfying dishes of the day.

➰ Crispy Fried Chicken Feet 80 I thought it was boneless, but there were bones. Not highly recommended for lazy people... Moreover, the collagen in the fried style seems a bit greasy instead.

➰ Golden Sand Noodles 80 I also really like dishes made with salted egg yolk. This dish fries the noodles first, giving it a bit of a firm texture. Personally, I'm not that fond of it.

➰Old Salt Zeng 180 The liquor made from sorghum has a very strong flavor. Paired with the accompanying sausage, it adds a finishing touch. Friends who don't drink much are advised not to order it, as it can easily get you tipsy after finishing.

➰Mapo Tofu 80 It's a bit like Taiwanese-style Thai basil pork Added with the tofu below Unexpectedly creates a really nice new flavor 💥

The store is small, but the name is very eye-catching.
