# Open During the New Year
Lukang is a popular destination during the New Year, and there are several vermicelli shops in this area. This particular old shop has been in business for 94 years, and the owner stated that they do not take any breaks during the New Year. The large corner shop is always full, serving dishes quickly, and the dining experience is fast, with low prices and a high turnover rate.
The vermicelli is delicate and comes in generous portions. The broth is lightly thickened, not overpowering, making it easy to eat with a spoon and not too hot. It is somewhat different from the commonly seen red vermicelli; the soup flavor is subtle yet sufficient, and rice vinegar is available on the table for drizzling. In the 35 TWD bowl of vermicelli, there are even shrimp and lightly battered pieces of pork, making it satisfying even after a quick meal.
