Currently, the most branches of Thai cuisine in Taiwan belong to Wa-Cheng. Eating Thai food in Taiwan is really convenient🤘🏻. This time, I visited the Taichung Station Foreigner Show Taichung store (located in the S2 Pavilion of Show Taichung), which is about a ten-minute walk from Taichung Train Station. It is a branch that opened not long ago this year, and dining comes with a coupon for green curry chicken/cilantro pork.

The store is very large with a lot of seating, and the dining atmosphere is quite exquisite. The staff is very welcoming and considerate💗.

Currently, ordering is done by scanning a code on the phone, which is very convenient. Some items allow you to adjust the spiciness level directly. The white rice is ordered based on the number of people, costing 45 per person; there are three types of rice to choose from, and it can be refilled infinitely, which is great, as Thai food is all about being a perfect match with rice.
✐ Thai jasmine rice $45

  • The fine, long rice grains offer a better texture; some may find it a bit hard and not like it, so other types can be chosen.
    ✐ Taiwan Xiluo rice $45
  • Commonly eaten white rice, chewy and plump. (Another option is healthy red quinoa rice.)

✐ Chef's seafood salad $395

  • Choosing this dish as an appetizer won't go wrong! The sweet and sour salad is very appetizing. Must praise the small ingredient inside - cashews, which add a layer of texture.

✐ Black truffle shrimp cakes $480

  • A newly launched item! Previously, I found it super delicious, so I came directly to the store for this…🤤 As a super truffle fan, I really couldn't miss it; it's an upgraded version of moon shrimp cakes, and eating it with plum sauce works wonderfully. The truffle flavor is rich and intense.

✐ Chef's BBQ Matsusaka pork $450

  • Normal (the sauce itself is slightly spicy). For those who can't handle spice, a separate dipping sauce is provided. The chewy texture of the Matsusaka pork really makes you crave piece after piece; this dish is a must-order every time.

✐ Green curry chicken $320

  • Slightly spicy but very good with rice; even when the chicken is finished, the sauce in the bowl shouldn’t be wasted, and it must be poured over the white rice to do it justice.

✐ Shrimp paste cabbage $225

  • Also a must-order every time; the aroma of the shrimp paste envelops the cabbage, and thankfully I didn't get any of the vegetable parts I dislike. The vegetable is cooked to a great level.

✐ Coconut taro pearls (hot) $120

  • I had enjoyed white jade coconut taro pearls at other branches and loved them, but this branch didn't have them. I ordered coconut taro pearls, but I found the flavor quite different; this version was pretty sweet, with a strong coconut taste that became rather heavy towards the end. However, the texture of the taro pearls was quite unique.

✐ Grapefruit jasmine green tea $130

  • If you like fruity drinks, you can order this one. The grapefruit flavor is overwhelming and refreshing, pairing well with dishes to cut the greasiness.

✐ New launch "Ruby milk cap Thai tea $159

  • This can be seen as an upgraded version of Thai tea? The bottom has ruby adzuki beans, with a texture similar to that between pomegranate seeds and pearls, very special~ but the milk cap flavor didn't leave a strong impression. Strawberry pieces are sprinkled on top, visually very girly^o^.

A 10% service charge will be added. After the meal, three flavors of candies (plum, mint, lemon salt) are offered.
