I went to a reasonably priced and delicious yakiniku restaurant in Higashi-Mikuni! 🐮
The restaurant is called Shimadaya and is very close to Higashi-Mikuni Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line. 🚃
All the seats are private rooms. ✨
They provided two types of sweet sauces and rock salt. ✨
For drinks, I had:
Oolong tea
Ginger ale 🫚
And to eat my fill, I chose non-alcoholic drinks. ✨
I tried various dishes recommended by the restaurant! 🐮
Tongue steak 🐮
It was a thickly cut tongue! 🐮
It had a nice texture, was tender, and had a rich, delicious beef flavor. 🐮
It paired perfectly with lemon. 🍋
Harami steak 🐮
There was a huge piece of harami that I had never seen before, marinated in a pot. 🐮
I spread it out on the grill and cooked it. 🐮
It was fragrant, tender, and incredibly delicious. 🐮
Wagyu tenderloin 🐮
The thick fillet was cut into pieces. 🐮
It was soft and melted in my mouth. 🐮
It paired wonderfully with wasabi. 🔥
Black-haired Wagyu rib 🐮

Both looked beautiful and delicious, and I enjoyed them not only on their own but also wrapped in lettuce. 🥬

The thinly sliced meat was beautifully marbled, sweet, and when eaten with rice, it melted away and disappeared quickly because it was so delicious. 🐮🍚
Aburi meat sushi misuji 🐮🍣

It was lightly seared, the fat melted, and it paired well with the rice, making it incredibly delicious. 🐮🍣
Seafood chijimi 🦐🦑
The large chijimi was filled with plenty of shrimp and squid. 🦐🦑
The batter was crispy and chewy, making it tasty, and the seafood was cut into big chunks and was very delicious. 😍
Kalbi noodles 🐮🍜
These were spicy noodles with kalbi. 🍜🔥
Even for someone like me who isn't great with spicy food, it was just the right level of spiciness and delicious, with big chunks of kalbi included. 🐮🍜
Tail ramen 🐮🍜
This ramen had a sweet soup with tail in it. 🍜
The tail was tender and melted in my mouth. 🐮
The taste was easy to eat and delicious; I thought it was a flavor everyone would like. 🍜
Umami green onion ✨
These green onions were perfect with both the meat and rice and were incredibly tasty. 😍
Yakiniku is completely fine without rice, but I wanted to eat these green onions with rice, they were so delicious that I ordered rice! 😍
Small rice
Even though it's called small, it had quite a good volume, and for a big eater like me, it was just the right amount. 🍚
Everything was delicious, and I was very satisfied. 😍
They also have course menus, which include unlimited rice. 🍚
It’s a very recommended, reasonably priced, and delicious yakiniku restaurant right in front of Higashi-Mikuni Station!‼️
The staff were friendly, and there were many cute people working there. ✨
This is a place I want to visit again! 🐮
