This casual dining restaurant is very old in Lanyu, and has probably been around for over ten years. It’s worth noting that if a restaurant in Lanyu has been open for more than 10 years, it can be considered an old establishment, as it’s really not easy to achieve.
Although I have been to Lanyu more than 10 times, it’s my first time stepping into this restaurant. The interior space is much more comfortable than I had imagined, and there are many semi-feral cats inside, as well as a variety of handmade crafts for sale. I believe this style will attract a certain customer base.
As for the food itself, I ordered the Huadiao lamb set this time. I never thought lamb could be cooked with Huadiao, and the meat is very tender and delicious, with flavors that are not too strong, so there's no overpowering alcohol taste. Additionally, the side dishes in the set are very thoughtfully chosen, making use of local ingredients, such as octopus, sweet potatoes, and taro (I’m not quite sure if the sweet potatoes and taro are from Lanyu or imported from Taiwan). However, the octopus may be tougher due to the cooking or preservation methods, so those with weaker teeth might find it hard to chew. Overall, my dining experience was still quite good.
