Linjia Japanese Cuisine Yongji Store is located in the bustling Yongji Road Alley 30. Yongji Road Alley 30 is the most lively gathering place of affordable eateries near the Xinyi Project Area, where the lunch crowd often overwhelms the nearby working professionals. However, the number of tourists on weekends is actually comparable to that of the office workers.
Today, we enjoyed salmon chirashi don, Linjia budget rice bowl, five kinds of special sashimi, and Japanese-style cod liver, totaling 1045 TWD.
Salmon Chirashi Don:
The freshness and deliciousness of the dish are average, but there are a bit few salmon roe, so we ordered the A set. The chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) performed adequately.
Linjia Budget Rice Bowl:
We also added the A set here. The price of the budget meal and the portion size are relatively balanced, although after adding the A set, it's not exactly more budget-friendly. By budget standards, the portion of sashimi is quite considerable, and the freshness is decent. The restaurant's idea of filling the bowl with side dishes of shredded burdock and jadeite is quite obvious, but the flavors are still tasty, so we can overlook this issue.
Five Kinds of Special Sashimi:
This really feels a bit insufficient; this costs 230 TWD... The quality of the sashimi is quite consistent, so I won't elaborate further.
Japanese-Style Cod Liver:
The strong flavor of cod liver and the balance of tangy seasoning is quite nice; the bonito flakes in this dish are a nice finishing touch.
Overall, it is a Japanese restaurant with decent flavors, but the portions are rather small. One can understand that the rental costs could indeed affect the content of the dishes, but it really is a bit too little. Even though drinks and miso soup are self-served and unlimited, that doesn't add much value.
However, it might be nice for those with a small appetite, offering refined Japanese cuisine.
I recommend it to everyone.
