Title: Student's Snack - What to Eat
This time I visited a handmade tofu pudding shop near Sanxia Public Market, located at the end of the old street.
Even in winter, there are still many customers. You can add ginger syrup for an extra 5 yuan (but a friend mentioned that the ginger syrup is quite spicy, so I’ll add it the next time I come).
Menu:
Tofu pudding $35 (can add 1-2 types of toppings)
I added snow lotus seeds and job's tears.
Thoughts:
The tofu pudding made with mountain spring water, which I, who am not accustomed to drinking mountain spring water, can’t really taste the difference. The owner prepares it as boiled water tofu pudding, making it overall a bit bland, relying on the toppings (the sugar from the snow lotus seeds and job's tears). The tofu pudding itself is soft and smooth, indicating that this tofu pudding is quite special.
It's in a small cup size; when you open it, the toppings are at the bottom and the tofu pudding is on top. There isn’t even a layer of water on top—it's a very solid bowl of tofu pudding.
Waiting Time:
2-3 minutes.
