珊珊臭豆腐

That day was New Year's Eve, and many of the places we wanted to eat were closed. I suddenly wanted to have some soup, and my friend recommended this place. There were quite a few people that day, with some dining in and others taking out. We first wrote down our order (you have to write the item names on a blank paper) and handed it to the staff, then waited for our food. We paid when we picked up the food, and I took the following items to go.

▪️Crispy Stinky Tofu (small) $70
I originally didn’t plan on eating stinky tofu, but my friend said it was really good, so I decided to give it a try. The pieces were just the right size, and after bringing it home, the outer skin wasn't super crispy but it didn't scratch my mouth, which was nice. I also really liked the pickled vegetables; the sourness was just right, and by the end, I found the overall taste slightly sweet, with a little bit of spiciness added. I highly recommend it for those who like spicy food—it’s quite tasty and not too spicy, mainly fragrant~

▪️Meat Soup with Rice Noodles $80
You can choose between rice noodles, glass noodles, thick noodles, or spaghetti. Although the price isn’t the cheapest, I think the portion is quite large, especially the amount of meat in the soup. For me, the broth was a bit bland, perhaps because I'm used to another place's satay flavor. However, it was still nice to eat together with the stinky tofu, and the meat soup was delicious!

Overall, it’s a pretty standard and normally tasty place. I was quite happy to eat there on a cold day. Also, I seriously checked the restaurant's opening hours and found out they're open until 3 AM, which is pretty late—definitely a great option for a midnight snack!
