I went to Katsu-Oh, a reasonable and delicious restaurant that specializes in gyoza, which has just opened. 🥟
The shop is named Katsu-Oh Gyoza Ishibashi, and it opened on November 12, 2025. ✨ It is located very close to Ishibashi-Han-dai-mae Station on the Hankyu Takarazuka Line. 🚃
When you think of Katsu-Oh, you think of their signature items: Premium Malt’s draft beer at 196 yen and highballs starting at 162 yen! These prices are the same no matter when you visit! They also have a great selection of drinks like octopus highballs and classic lemon sours. ✨
I ordered the following drinks:
Kabosu soda 🍊 for 219 yen,
Oolong tea 🐦⬛ for 219 yen x3,
and more. ✨
As for food, I ordered:
Edamame 🫛 for 350 yen,
10 pieces of gyoza 🥟 for 528 yen x3,
5 pieces of fried chicken 🍗 for 659 yen,
Dashi rolled omelet 🥚 for 605 yen,
Tuna nakaochi 🐟 for 748 yen,
Black pork and mentaiko steamed buns 🐷 for 528 yen,
Beef brisket with ponzu sauce 🐮 for 638 yen,
Potato chicken 🍔🍟 for 528 yen x3,
Yaki ramen 🍜 for 748 yen x2,
Salmon onigiri 🍙 for 275 yen,
Chicken soup 🐔🥣 for 220 yen,
and Cookies & cream ice cream 🍨 for 385 yen.
The edamame 🫛 was delicious with the right amount of salt.
The gyoza 🥟 were bite-sized and perfectly crispy on the outside, with a chewy skin and a generous filling, enhanced by the flavor of sesame oil. They were so good that we ordered more than the initial 10 pieces. 🥟
The fried chicken 🍗 is also a signature dish of the restaurant, with one piece being quite large; it was hearty, rich in flavor, and crispy on the outside.
The dashi rolled omelet 🥚 had great umami flavor and paired perfectly with grated daikon.
The tuna nakaochi 🐟 was deliciously light with a refreshing flavor.
The black pork & mentaiko steamed buns 🐷 were rich and packed with meat, while the mentaiko buns were spicy and fluffy.
The beef brisket with ponzu 🐮 was satisfying and tender, served with onions and bean sprouts in a refreshing ponzu dressing.
The potato chicken 🍔🍟 had a crispy potato coating on chicken nuggets; the inside was fluffy and the outside crispy.
The yaki ramen 🍜 had a rich tonkotsu flavor that clung well to the thin noodles, making it delicious. The chunks of pork and cabbage were also tasty.
The chicken soup 🥣 was light and delicious.
The salmon onigiri 🍙 was rich and filled with plenty of salmon.
The cookies & cream ice cream 🍨 had a generous amount of cookies and was delicious.
All the dishes were reasonable and delicious. 🥰
They also have an all-you-can-eat menu for 2,800 yen, which is quite affordable. 🉐
Since they have limited-time menu items, I want to visit again. 😆
