This time, I visited 'HEARTH SMOKED GRILL & GALETTE,' a cafe & bar & Italian restaurant where you can find a variety of dishes, from galettes and fluffy pancakes to hearty meat dishes and chewy fresh pasta, just a 1-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station!
As the name suggests, they have a strong commitment to galettes, which they have been perfecting for 15 years, using only soba flour from Tadotsu, Hokkaido, as well as salt and water from Guérande, France. They use galette pans imported directly from France, and since they are made fresh upon order, you can always enjoy freshly made galettes!
There is a sister establishment, 'Bistro Wine Cafe Hearth,' in Minami-Ikebukuro, where Chef Fukushi, who trained for five years in a Michelin-starred restaurant in France, serves bistro cuisine, cheese fondue, and galettes! I would love to visit there next time! ♡

You can tell just by looking that it’s quite voluminous! The pancake batter is fluffy and jiggly♪ It's so fluffy that I devoured it in no time. When eaten with the rich Belgian chocolate ice cream and the accompanying berry sauce, it changes the flavor and allows you to enjoy a sweet and sour taste, making it delicious in multiple ways!
【Homemade Salted Caramel Sauce & Vanilla Ice Cream】
The fluffy pancakes paired with the slightly bitter burnt caramel sauce, along with walnuts and almond slices, created a nice texture♪ The warm pancakes combined with the cold vanilla ice cream is the ultimate combination of hot and cold!
The exterior of the store is stylish with wood grain, decorated with plants, and there is a ceiling fan turning above, giving it a relaxed and chic atmosphere. There are two-person tables by the window, sofa seating in the center, and U-shaped sofa box seats, making it perfect for dates or girls' gatherings.
Once again, Harapeko-chan is super full!
