🚩Location🧭
Located at the intersection of Jiancheng Road and Renhe Road in the South District of Taichung City, the triangular iron-sheet storefront has a very eye-catching sign for fried noodles and braised pork rice. Although there is a red line at the entrance, parking should not affect others.

🪑Regarding the Overall Atmosphere🎡
I often passed by this place but never knew its name. After checking, I found out that it seems to have several branches, and because the owner’s surname is Lai, the correct name should be Lai Shih-wu’s Braised Pork Rice. It’s uniquely open 24 hours, but the overall environment looks quite ordinary. While eating, I noticed a rotating machine next to me making fried noodles, with juices occasionally dripping out. The store is open to the street; I always feel something odd about it.

💰Regarding the Price💰
Partitioned Meat Bento $80

🍴Regarding the Food☕
When ordering, I saw a photo of the partitioned meat rice, which looked good, so I decided to try it instead of fried noodles. The partitioned meat seems to be called liver-linked meat in the north, but I've never heard anyone from central Taiwan use that name. Side dishes can be chosen, but they are all pre-cooked, so they’re cold. I had the staff choose for me, and they picked bamboo shoots, broccoli, preserved radish eggs, and stewed cabbage. Because the side dishes are cold, the flavors are not very pronounced, but the broccoli and eggs are pretty good, the only two with noticeable taste. The braised sauce on the rice has a very distinctive flavor, which surprised me at first; I couldn’t recall where I remembered the taste from (seems like grandma’s cooking). The partitioned meat is also cold but not unpalatable; basically, the bento is made up of mostly warm rice, maybe because they’re open 24 hours?

🤨Conclusion♥
I noticed other customers mostly eating fried noodles; perhaps the fried noodles are hot? I would rate this bento about three stars, but if it was hot, it could probably reach 4.5 stars; the price is cheap but the environment needs improvement.
