I went early on purpose, thinking that since it had just opened, there shouldn't be anyone there for lunch yet. But when I arrived, there were already several elderly people sitting inside waiting for the business to start 😂. I saw they all ordered beef noodle soup and cucumber, so I immediately followed suit and ordered the same!
Braised Beef Noodle Soup 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
Highly recommend the beef noodle soup! The flavor isn't overly salty or too heavy, with a bit of spiciness in the braised sauce. There are about 6-7 chunks of meat in the bowl (I didn't count specifically).
Cold Cucumber Salad (small) 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
The cucumber 🥒 is very refreshing and quite fresh. The dressing is a mix of sesame sauce and soy sauce. It has a sweet and sour taste that's quite appetizing and matches well, not tasting odd at all.
Beef Offal Soup (small) 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
Overall, it tastes very refreshing without any fishy flavor. It feels like it was simmered with big bones, and you can taste the aroma of the meat. I recommend it if you're having potstickers; it’s a good pairing and won't make you feel full too quickly.
Beef Potstickers 🌕🌕🌕🌕
Right when the dish was served, I could see it had a lot of oil when fried. It's not the kind that’s crispy and perfect; I think they just took ordinary dumplings and fried them. Overall, it was average and I wouldn't recommend going specifically for this.
Scallion Beef 🌕🌕🌕🌗
Overall, it's quite oily, and the beef is stir-fried a bit too long, turning chewy. It feels like vinegar was added for tanginess, but it doesn't really match the dish 🤨.
