Today should be my third visit to this restaurant located on the 6th floor of the Langju Boutique Hotel.
There is a parking garage in the basement (B1) where you can park for free. Although it's during the Spring Festival, since it might not be check-in time for guests yet, there are quite a few parking spaces available!
First, take the elevator to the lobby on the 1st floor, and let the lobby staff know you want to go to the restaurant on the 6th floor. They will assist you in overriding the elevator restrictions so you can go directly to the restaurant on the 6th floor.
Once you arrive at the 6th floor, walk straight to the end, and that’s where the restaurant is! (There’s a restroom in the hallway leading to the restaurant.)
Our dining time today is a bit late (1:30 PM). When we entered the restaurant, we found a lot of people. I was initially worried that the service would be slow (because our group was extremely hungry after hiking for three hours!). It turns out, many customers seemed to be finishing their lunch while continuing to drink beverages, eat desserts, and chat.
There are quite a few choices for appetizers, fried items, risottos, pastas, main courses, salads, soups, etc.
After ordering, we can head over to their beverage bar to choose our drinks (if you don’t want to drink, there’s also a water dispenser nearby).
The mushroom cream soup is very rich and aromatic. I usually don't like dishes that are too creamy, but I always order this soup when I come here.
The XO sauce fried rice has a familiar taste the moment you take a bite. Although the menu indicates it’s spicy (I don’t think it's very spicy). The fried rice is well-separated, which is great.
The truffle mushroom parmesan risotto is my favorite dish today. The rich creamy aroma pairs beautifully with the truffles. Normally, I don't eat creamy dishes, yet my top choices here are all cream-based!
The garlic chili pasta paired with prime beef shoulder is cooked perfectly, and the beef has a nice chewiness. The seasoning isn’t overwhelmingly spicy (it’s not the type that is irritating, nor does it have a bitter heat). Friends who enjoy spicy food might want to give it a try.
The Spanish tomato curry seafood risotto had me initially worried about the shrimp being troublesome, but the chef has already prepared it, so you can simply bite into the meat (the shells have been removed). Friends who love bold flavors and worry about dealing with shrimp can order it without concerns.
Today's dessert is the golden sand cheesecake, and the combination of golden sand and cheese is just perfect. It was gone in no time!
People from Yilan can enjoy a 10% discount! Don’t forget about it! 😍
