"Lushan Ren is a chain restaurant in Taiwan where you can enjoy hot pot and sukiyaki. It has a bit of a luxurious feel, and there is a wide variety of meat and seafood available!
【Atmosphere of the Restaurant】
The interior was spacious and open. Vegetables, desserts, and drinks are self-serve, while the ingredients you can order (like seafood and meat) are chosen via a QR code you receive 🦞.
One thing that caught my attention was that, perhaps due to the hot pot, the restaurant was extremely cold 😂 (this might depend on the seating, but I could hear other customers also saying it was cold). Even after eating the warm hot pot, I wasn’t able to take off my jacket, so caution is needed ⚠️.
【Food Evaluation】
I ordered the bamboo course from the matsu-take-bamboo options. It's a course where you can choose about eight types of meat. The price is 600 TWD per person (about 3,000 yen). There were different cuts of pork, chicken, beef, and lamb! The meat was sliced thin and easy to eat. Personally, I found it delicious when I ate the pork with vegetables!
In any hot pot restaurant in Taiwan, there will be sauces (like soy sauce and vinegar) for you to combine yourself, but a unique one was the yuzu sauce! If you mix this with soy sauce and grated daikon, you can enjoy a taste of Japan! 🤭 A Taiwanese friend who came along said there wasn’t anything particularly special, but indeed there aren’t any distinctive features. Still, I think it was nice to enjoy a leisurely hot pot meal."
