📍Location and Transportation: De Feng is located in the district of Xindian, New Taipei City. The nearest MRT exit is Exit 1 of Qizhang, which is about a 5-minute walk. The main customers are local residents, and next door is the popular queueing restaurant Xiao Le Noodle House, but De Feng holds a special place in my heart as my favorite bento shop in Xindian 🥇🥺.

🏠Space: The store has dim lighting and a minimalist decor 😂. The tables and chairs are stainless steel, which are easy to keep clean. There are over 20 seats, self-service utensils (disposable), and they offer iced black tea (rarely seen unsweetened 👏🏻).

💰Ordering and Payment: Customers line up at the counter to order and pay, cash only.

🍽️Dishes:
Braised Pork Rice: The braised pork is super delicious, with a beautiful color and flavorful marinade. The fatty meat is chewy and not greasy; I can eat it every day without getting bored. Even my high blood pressure grandmother raves about it 🫣 (but that's not a good example). It has gone from 80 NT dollars a few years ago to 100 NT dollars now.
Garlic Pork Belly Rice: Not fatty or greasy, and not cut into overly thin slices. I don't love it, but my family enjoys it a lot.
Red Braised Tilapia Rice is also quite often ordered. The fish is first fried and then soaked in the marinade, and the portion is quite generous.
The side dishes are delicious and generously served. Bento shops often have either monotonous or very little side dish issues, but they offer pickled cucumber, enoki mushrooms, seaweed, and eggplant, which are rarer options. If you find the greens in the bento insufficient, you can order an extra portion for 20 NT dollars.
Spicy Duck Blood and Stinky Tofu: Not too spicy or salty, both the duck blood and tofu are well marinated. Today, I got accidentally burned on the lips by the duck blood juice 🤕, but at 40 NT dollars, it's hard to complain. Highly recommended.

Overall Rating: Braised pork rice gets a lifetime recommendation, the bento prices are reasonable with high cost-performance ratio, definitely worth a try.
