Fresh Tea Road's Yan San store is located in the bustling middle section of Yan San Night Market. This chain began in 2005 and specializes in freshly brewed tea, becoming a key player in the hand-shaken beverage industry.
Today, I enjoyed the Classic Oolong, priced at 30 NT dollars.
Classic Oolong:
It uses oolong tea from Nantou, Taiwan, and has a distinct charcoal roasted aroma, almost reminiscent of Tieguanyin. This tea was previously sold exclusively in the Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan, and Kaohsiung areas by Fresh Tea Road, so I feel fortunate to be able to taste it in Taipei.
Overall, it's a chain store with stable quality. If you're passing by Yan San, even outside of the night market's hours, it's worth stopping by for a cup. The store has a moderately sized resting area that could be a nice choice for a break when you're feeling tired from shopping.
Since the purchase was not on a Monday, I missed out on Fresh Tea Road's "No Sugar Monday" event, where you can choose any of their quality, stable, unsweetened teas—three cups for just 85 NT dollars, which is really a great deal.
I recommend it to everyone!
