Hello everyone, I’m the little frog 🐸
When I come to the Gongguan Night Market, I always want to eat at <Xiongji Scallion Pancakes>.
This place is very popular and has been selected many times as a must-try food by the Bib Gourmand.
It’s located at booth 48 in the Gongguan Night Market, and it's closed on Wednesdays!
I arrived around 5:30 PM and waited about 20 minutes before I got my hot scallion pancakes!
⭐️ Signature scallion pancakes with added egg and cheese for $50 (plus free basil)
I always go for this combination at Xiongji.
The dough is handmade and layered, the scallion pancake skin is fried crispy, and with the egg and cheese, it’s delicious. Sometimes the boss will ask if I want to add free basil, and I always choose to add it because it complements the dish so well.
The boss's chili sauce is also amazing; it seems to be made with ghost peppers, super fragrant and super spicy! Personally, I think the mild version has quite a kick, and if you're not a fan of spicy food, you can ask the boss to make it less spicy!
Additionally, some people choose to add honey mustard sauce, which is quite unique. My friend loves it, but I’m not a big fan.
‼️ Conclusion:
This is definitely a place I frequently revisit for scallion pancakes. However, the business can sometimes be too good, and you might have to wait a bit longer.
