I happened to discover a stall selling "traditional charcoal-grilled corn" near the Dou Nan train station, and there was a pile of charcoal nearby, which made it look like they were seriously grilling. After all, it’s quite rare to find corn grilled over charcoal on-site, so I couldn't resist buying one to try.

The corn was brushed with sauce on the outside, and it smelled wonderfully fragrant when it came out, with a hint of the smoky aroma from the charcoal, giving it an authentic feel. However, the taste turned out to be quite standard; the sauce had a basic salty-sweet flavor, but the depth of flavor wasn't particularly special. The variety of corn itself was also unremarkable, with a rather ordinary texture, lacking the fresh sweetness and juiciness typically found in fresh corn.

Overall, the atmosphere and the on-site charcoal grilling at this stall evoked a sense of nostalgia for traditional flavors, but the taste itself was really just average, not reaching an impressive level. It's suitable for a nostalgic experience, but if you're specifically coming to buy it, it's better not to have too high expectations.
