🚩Suitable for 2-3 people: Affordable Seafood Hot Pot Restaurant in Xindian District

Recently, I’ve been fascinated by exploring various new eateries. Previously, I would only go to the Carrefour food court nearby to eat, but today I found this Dashi Seafood restaurant, located right by Baokiao Road. You can tell it has been around for a while just by looking at the faded sign. There’s a water tank to the right of the entrance, and the seating area is divided into two sections: the left side has low tables for four, while the right side has larger round tables; the decor is minimal.

After being seated, a customer was drunk and causing a scene, so the staff immediately asked us to change our seats 😅. After marking our selections on the paper menu, we handed it to the staff, and we paid the bill after the meal. The drinks in the refrigerator are all clearly priced, which is transparent. Only cash payments are accepted, and there are no invoices 🈚.

We ordered quite a bit today, and my feedback on the dishes is below the photos ⬇️

The prices here are not expensive, mostly under 200 NT, making it suitable for groups of four or fewer. Almost everything we ordered today was good, and the dining experience was great. I’d like to come back with friends next time. However, the atmosphere could use a bit of improvement, as there were many loud aunties and uncles drinking, which made it a bit noisier. (I guess the best way to deal with it is to just join them 🤣)

Fried rice with shredded meat $70 The price is very cheap and the portion is decent. The rice grains are a bit moist, probably cooked with butter. It tastes very fragrant and smooth. I really like the flavor, but there is a lot of oil at the bottom. 😅

Seafood Fried Noodles $70 The seasoning is light, but I really love it. I've rarely had fried noodles that look this clean in color. There are also plenty of ingredients provided, great!

Century Egg Sweet Potato Leaves $180 I was curious about this combination that I had never seen before, so I ordered it. Surprisingly delicious! There are about 2 century eggs in it. The sweet potato leaves are cooked tender, lightly seasoned, and the broth is fragrant.

Stir-fried crab legs $180 The shells are very hard and take a long time to peel (but it wasn't me who did it) I didn't dip it in sauce; I only ate the crab meat It tastes fresh and isn't overly salty.

Iron Plate Tofu $180 I am a tofu lover, and every time I go to a stir-fry restaurant, I will order tofu 🤭 The type used is firm tofu, which slightly lowers the score. The ingredients include flat beans, carrots, black fungus, and onions. The overall portion is quite generous, and the sauce is not overly strong. The sautéed onions taste great.

Fresh Fish Ginger Soup $100 The broth is mild and seasoned just right, simply garnished with chopped green onions. It contains tofu and many pieces of fish fillet, which is quite delicious. Although the ingredients are not very high-end, it's quite good for this price.
