This is a 42-year-old local restaurant. On weekday evenings, there aren’t many customers, and the owner is very attentive, providing a detailed introduction to their store’s story and how it differs from the spicy hot pot elsewhere.
The ordering method is to first choose the broth and then pay an additional fee based on the number of people. Each flavor can be refilled without limit for the broth, and their spicy duck blood is quite tasty!
If you order any type of meatballs without specifying, they will initially be placed in the clear broth. The most recommended item is the shrimp balls; they are super large and very meaty.
The spicy broth is really rich in flavor, but the owner has also emphasized that they do not use any thickening agents, so there’s no need to worry. The spicy soup is thick but not overly spicy, and if it’s too rich, you can request the restaurant to adjust it.
The yellow beef, which is the water buffalo from Taiwan (as introduced by the owner), has a texture that rivals other foreign beef, while the Matsusaka pork is also very chewy. There is a generous portion of vegetables; we even had some leftovers in the end.
Since one of our friends is vegetarian, the restaurant kindly prepared a pot of clear soup with vegetables, and we are truly grateful to the owner.
I can only say that this local restaurant, which has been around for 42 years, is indeed exceptional. Highly recommended!
