🚩 From Japan's Chain Italian Family Restaurant: Affordable Prices and Consistent Quality
Saizeriya is a chain family restaurant from Japan that offers affordable Italian cuisine. A branch was established in Taiwan in 2008, and currently, there are 22 branches across Taiwan, mainly in Taipei and Taoyuan.
The Dapinglin branch is located at the MRT Dapinglin Station, 2nd floor of New World Plaza at exit 1. Take the elevator on the left front after exiting. It is not recommended to take the stairs as you may inhale secondhand smoke. The restaurant has plenty of seating, mostly 4-person half-wall sofa seats, with very few tables for groups larger than four, making it more suitable for small families. Reservations are not available, so expect to queue during meal times. The decor is consistent with other branches, but after years of operation, there are signs of wear on tables, chairs, and walls. A unique selling point of the Dapinglin branch is its large L-shaped floor-to-ceiling windows, providing excellent daylight, though the view is just an ordinary cityscape, which is a bit of a pity 😅
Ordering is done by scanning the QR code on the table, and payment is made after the meal. You can use cash, credit cards, or LinePay, and receipts can be linked to a digital vehicle ✔️ with no service charges 🈚.
The dishes are pre-prepared in a central kitchen, so they arrive quickly and the taste is consistent. Detailed dining experiences are written in the photos below ⬇️
I have been eating at Saizeriya for over ten years. I'm so familiar with it that I can recognize it just by looking at photos of people dining there. The prices have gone from unbelievably cheap to slightly reasonable after rising by a few tens of NT dollars over the years (even though the main branch in Japan claims not to raise prices). As someone with a large appetite, I do feel the pinch on the wallet, but the quality of the food remains quite stable. It's not extremely delicious, but the ingredients and taste are decent. Additionally, the prices are truly competitive compared to many small restaurants. I sincerely recommend it to everyone.
