🥩 The newly opened popular local restaurant group for all-you-can-eat barbecue
Since there’s no long weekend for the Mid-Autumn Festival this year,
I was invited by relatives for a staff gathering this weekend,
and the whole family got together to eat and drink ✌🏻
Upon arrival, I realized that it was at a new restaurant
under a well-loved Taiwanese dining group in Gangshan,
which is quite spacious and could probably be considered a budget version of the original brand?
The outdoor fish pond and the interior decor strangely have a similar vibe.
The ready-to-eat section of the restaurant is divided into stir-fried dishes, fried food, sushi, and dim sum.
There are also drinks, fruits, desserts, and ice cream all available for unlimited refills.
(They even offer a whole can of Dado, which is very cute!)
As for the ingredients, seafood and vegetables are self-service,
but there's a limit on the meat which has to be ordered using a QR code 🥩.
This time I took a quick look at their Facebook page
and discovered that it's currently the autumn crab season event 🦀.
So, besides the snow crab legs available in the ingredient area,
there were also three-cup crabs, crab meat chawanmushi, and crispy rice with red crab soup.
As someone who loves crab, I was super looking forward to it,
but apart from the snow crab legs, the rest were disappointing.
The meat was a bit dry and lacked natural sweetness ❌.
The grilled meats, however, were quite decent.
Whether chicken, pork, beef, or lamb, they were all good 🔥.
I highly recommend the grass shrimp 🦐, which was very fresh,
and the abalone and scallops were also worth grabbing,
but the angel shrimp and scallops were just average.
Overall, the meal didn't leave a strong impression.
Especially for a restaurant known for its stir-fried dishes,
the ready-to-eat section was completely underwhelming compared to the original branch.
It’s true that you can overindulge and eat until you're stuffed,
but whether I would return with friends next time is definitely something to think about 🥹.
