🐟 Founded 77 years ago, the original brand of seasoned marinated mentaiko! A must-try at the value tea porridge spot on the Dazaifu Temple approach 🍚
Walking down the Dazaifu Temple approach, you will definitely see a line outside this shop. Fukuya is said to be the first in Fukuoka to develop and sell the now-famous local specialty mentaiko, and their mentaiko canned series has also gone viral online!
What makes this Dazaifu branch special is that they offer a tea porridge that you can buy and eat right there. For just 500 yen, you get a small portion, which leaves room to enjoy various snacks along the approach! Mentaiko enthusiasts can add more for an extra 200 yen — personally, I think 500 yen is just right!
And true to its location in a tourist area, their vending machine is very convenient, allowing credit card or mobile payment! There are instructions for using the machine above it — and remember to properly sort your trash after eating outside the shop!
Afterward, you can buy souvenirs inside the store, with many products exclusive to the Dazaifu location! If you're looking for a proper meal, they also have set menu options available for dining in!
