From childhood to now! A rich and nostalgic traditional tofu pudding XD
It still doesn’t have a sign, just an ordinary iron roll-up door hiding a dessert shop that has passed down through two generations (I only know of two generations)!
The soy milk is made by hand in the morning, then turned into one bucket after another of tofu pudding, stored in that big refrigerator.
#Occasionally, you might still encounter tofu pudding that has been boiled too long and tastes bitter.
Meals
Clear tofu pudding with a slightly sweet syrup, paired with soft and delicious tofu pudding that wobbles and sways on the spoon. Biting into it brings sheer joy as it melts in your mouth.
Paired with crushed ice, biting into it adds a refreshing and solid icy crunch, the syrup sweetness is just right, and eating it brings a blissful sensation to both body and mind.
Side ingredients (delete)
Tapioca balls, small tapioca balls simmered in-house, not very sweet, using regular sugar instead of brown sugar. You could eat a bowl of this alone XD
Taro balls, my brother says they're delicious, but I haven't tried them yet XD
Wet peanuts, soft and fluffy tofu pudding paired with soft, mushy, non-sweet peanuts—a perfect match.
Red beans and mung beans, in summer there’s mung bean soup tofu pudding, and in winter, red bean soup tofu pudding, both available for individual orders.
My beloved noodles… the boss said they’re not good anymore, the original supplier stopped making them, so they’re now discontinued!
Service
Warmth from the neighbors and aunties.
Environment
Street-side snacks in the city.
Rating
Four stars! (Subjectively)
In an era where diverse flavors are increasingly available, such traditional snacks with minimal ingredients are truly becoming rare. But I will still earnestly seek them out to share with fellow food lovers.
