I heard this is a fried chicken place that got sidetracked by hot pot; we arrived around 20:30 that day.
▪️ 1-2 people must order one pot base for $90
· Comes with cabbage, tofu, and vermicelli
I found the soup base itself quite enjoyable; it’s said to be made from simmered pork bones (flat fish and cabbage soup base), and it was indeed very rich.
▪️ Kinmen beef $250
▪️ Taiwan pork $180
▪️ Sea bream fillet $180
The beef that day seemed a bit just okay, but the pork was delicious, so we ended up ordering another plate; the sea bream was normal without any fishy taste.
▪️ Egg dumplings $90
▪️ Tofu skin $80
▪️ Cabbage $80
All were pleasantly tasty. Moreover, their "cabbage" refers to all white vegetables, haha, so there’s also an option for "green vegetables" on the menu 🥬 I found that quite cute.
▪️ Fried wings $180 for 4 pieces
▪️ Fried squid balls $150 for 6 pieces
They also had fried mackerel, but it was unavailable that day; I heard it’s great 🥲 The fried items were really delicious, reminiscent of the tasty fried chicken from traditional markets — the squid balls were quite solid too. Fried items must be ordered before 21:00; many people come just for this, and it really was quite good.
Overall, I really liked this place; the soup base was simple and tasty, and the fried items were excellent!! After finishing my meal, I realized there were many different balls I didn’t get to try, and I also forgot to try their special satay sauce, which sounds amazing. The staff was also very polite. I hope to get to try the mackerel next time 😆
P.S. The amount I paid that day didn’t match the prices on the menu after we ordered; I’m not sure if it was because we ordered two pot bases or if some items differed from the official menu, but since I didn’t notice at the time and didn’t receive a detailed receipt, it just ended there. Everyone can pay attention to this themselves (we ordered using a QR code, and the prices above are the ones listed on the official website).
