Located in Taipei and open 24 hours, the time-honored Hong Kong-style tea restaurant "Jixing Hong Kong Dim Sum" is a popular spot for late-night snacks or gatherings. The dining area can get crowded and quite noisy during meal times, but the authentic atmosphere of a tea restaurant is precisely about that feeling of "finding flavor amidst the hustle and bustle." If you can embrace the lively dining atmosphere, it's worth a visit!
This time, we ordered several dishes. The "Crispy Roast Pork" performed exceptionally well, with a crispy skin and just the right amount of fat, perfectly balanced between lean and fatty, providing a satisfying texture when bitten into. 🍖
The "Seafood Dry-Fried Yi Noodle" featured fresh seafood with flavorful sauce that wasn’t too salty, making it a popular main dish that everyone praised on that day!
The "Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice" was well-prepared with each grain standing out, dry rice, and a fully fragrant salted fish without being fishy—it's a classic interpretation of old-school fried rice.
The "Leek and Spring Roll" had a crispy exterior and juicy, fragrant filling—the frying was well done!
The "Fresh Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls" had a smooth texture, and the shrimp were plump and bouncy, making it a must-try for rice noodle roll fans.
The "Char Siu Buns with Oyster Sauce" were standard, with the sauce being sweet and savory, but overall they were somewhat average.
The "Fresh Shrimp and Chive Dumplings" included cilantro, which may be a matter of personal taste; I’m not a fan.
In terms of desserts, everything was on the sweeter side. The "Walnut and Cashew Cream," "Mango Sago," and "Healthy Red Date Cake" were too sweet for my taste, overshadowing the original flavors of the ingredients.
On the contrary, the "Herbal Jelly" was slightly bitter with a sweet aftertaste, making it a perfect refreshing dessert to end the meal—definitely worth recommending!
Overall, while Jixing is a bit noisy in terms of dining environment, the rich variety of dishes and the consistent quality of most make it suitable for gathering with a few friends to share a meal. If you can accept the bustling atmosphere, this place is undoubtedly a great spot to satisfy your late-night cravings and dim sum desires!
