華之園石頭火鍋
Pingtung's old brand stone hot pot - Huazhi Garden Stone Hot Pot is located in the top food battleground of Pingtung City (at least that's what I think 🤣). It has a prominent location, and everyone in Pingtung should know about this place, which is a must-visit for hot pot lovers. The prices are very reasonable, offering high value for money, and it’s a very popular hot pot restaurant.
There's no air conditioning inside. Originally, it was two separate shop spaces, but now it has been turned into one side with seating and the other side has become their storage. The tables and chairs are quite low, so taller individuals might find it uncomfortable to eat here. The ingredients are average, mostly frozen meat slices and hot pot ingredients; it’s more about filling up than gourmet dining.
The broth is made with garlic and onions to enhance the flavor, and it has the taste you expect from a stone hot pot. Personally, I didn't find it particularly enjoyable, but it's not bad either (I have other favorites that I prefer and will introduce next time). The menu has limited options but prices are pretty cheap, which probably explains the business's success. If you suddenly feel like having stone hot pot and happen to be nearby, it’s worth a try.
