【Foodholic Nako @ Taipei】
"Mansyakuya" is a new izakaya that opened in 2025 near Taipei Main Station and Zhongshan Station. It’s located in a small alley, just a one-minute walk from exit R2 of the Zhongshan underground mall, and you can make reservations in advance (Instagram is also convenient for this).
Dinner service is divided into three slots: 17:30, 19:30, and 21:30, with each dining period lasting two hours. I made a reservation for Sunday night at 17:30, and shortly after entering, the place was nearly full. I recommend that anyone planning to dine here make a reservation in advance.
To conclude: Mansyakuya is my favorite izakaya I’ve visited recently. The decor is cute, with a Japanese atmosphere, and the food is delicious—almost without exception. The staff is also friendly and kind (there is a 10% service charge).
The dishes I highly recommend and loved the most:
All the other dishes were very tasty too! Once again, nearly without disappointment!
If you want to eat your fill, I recommend ordering the Mapo Don for one person. The Mapo Tofu has a Sichuan pepper flavor. Although it’s listed for one person, if you’ve already ordered several dishes, I suggest not ordering this one for yourself, or you might overeat, as the portions are actually quite generous!
