It seems that a delicious sake and dining establishment opened in Kitashinchi last December, so I went to check it out 🍶.
The seating is only at the counter, which allows you to see the bustling kitchen, making it an enjoyable experience 🔥.
Being on the 8th floor, the night view from the restaurant was also lovely 🌃. It's a popular spot, and the day I went it was fully booked 🈵.
As for the drinks, I had a peach sake soda 🍑. Although it's a sake shop, I'm not a big drinker, so I opted for the sweeter option 🍑. It was sweet, easy to drink, and delicious 🍑.
They have a wide variety of sake, and it was quite reasonably priced for Kitashinchi 🍶.
For a dish, I tried the firefly squid and rapeseed flower with sweet miso 🦑. The firefly squid was plump and rich, while the rapeseed flower was easy to eat with very little bitterness. The sweet miso paired perfectly, making it incredibly tasty 🦑.
Next was the dashi soup with conger eel, bamboo shoots, and wide rice noodles ✨. The dashi had a gentle flavor and was very good. The eel was perfectly grilled and fragrant, the bamboo shoots had a nice crunch, and the wide rice noodles were thick and provided great texture, enhanced by the lovely flavor of the wood sorrel ✨.
I had a sashimi assortment 🐟. It included bluefin tuna 🐟, with the fatty parts being rich and melt-in-your-mouth delicious 🐟, yellowtail 🐟, fresh and light with a nice crunchy texture 🐟, and sea bream 🐟, which was tender, rich, and tasty 🐟. They grated the wasabi right in front of me, and its flavor was exceptional 🔥.
I also tried grilled Spanish mackerel with salt 🐟, served with mentaiko (pollock roe) and Kan'yanzhi miso ✨. The Spanish mackerel was grilled over charcoal, resulting in a plump and juicy fillet with crispy, fragrant skin. It was delicious even on its own, but with the mentaiko, it had a bit of a kick, while the Kan'yanzhi miso was sweet and bursting with the delicious texture of the koji ✨.
I tried the Awadori chicken 🐔, which was served with yuzu pepper. It was juicy and had a nice bite, with the yuzu pepper pairing wonderfully for a delicious contrast 🐔.
There is a drink called the "White Horse Knight," and I got to take a photo with it 🐎.
It's a lovely establishment run by a young, cheerful owner, making it easy to visit even alone ☺️. The owner and the staff were bright and cheerful, creating a fun atmosphere 😃.
