📍Location: Taichung, Nantun
An affordable and value-for-money Italian pasta old shop. 😌

Suddenly felt like eating pasta, and a friend recommended this place, reminding me to go early to avoid waiting in line.

I thought, "It's a weekday, will it really be that busy?!" Luckily, I ran fast and got a seat right away upon entering. But soon enough, there was indeed a line forming to wait for a seat. 😧

🏠 The restaurant itself is old.
It's a narrow space, like a typical old house transformed into a restaurant on the ground floor. You’ll see some wear on the walls and seats, but it’s not so bad that you wouldn’t want to sit down. Most single diners tend to sit close to the wall (on the sofa side), not because that side is more spacious, but sitting on the aisle side sometimes blocks the corridor space.

The seating is quite cramped.
This is a slight deduction in my score, but I think it's related to the spatial experience and isn't something that can be quickly improved.

🍜 Regarding the food:
I originally ordered the set meal because I was very hungry, but later realized… you don't need to order the set! In fact, it's more affordable not to!

I ordered the Creamy Vegetable and Fresh Mushroom Pasta for $200.
The set meal was an additional $60, which included a thick soup and a drink.
I chose unsweetened hot green tea for the drink.

After all, many places serve pasta in "just right" portions, so I was worried this place would be the same. Plus, I really wanted soup, so I ended up ordering the set.
However, the soup itself felt like it had a lot of starch; the richness of the corn soup was a bit off, tasting almost like too much flour, which left me somewhat disappointed.

The green tea was just… green tea, nothing special.

But the pasta toppings!
Bell peppers, asparagus, cauliflower, shiitake mushrooms, button mushrooms, corn—
This is seriously the pasta with the most variety of vegetables I've ever had!
The $200 portion was quite generous, and I felt super full after eating, which was very worth it. 👍

Overall, the serving speed was very fast; the space is somewhat cramped and a bit old but clean and tidy; the main course portion was satisfying, while for the side dishes, it's up to individual preference; I wouldn't particularly recommend any specific items.

If you're looking for a place to "occasionally enjoy some pasta," I would visit this restaurant again. 👌

⚠️ A few small reminders:
1️⃣ No outside food allowed.
2️⃣ Cash only.
3️⃣ No delivery service.
4️⃣ Issues traditional invoices.

Creamy Vegetable and Fresh Mushroom Noodles $200 When served, it looks very impressive! Not only are there plenty of vegetables, but there is also a great variety!
The corn chowder in the set meal There isn't much corn, it's rather thick, and the taste is average.
The drink included in the set meal—unsweetened green tea will be served in a takeaway cup, so you can just take it with you if you don’t finish it.
Overall, it is like this: a total of $260. Don't think there seems to be little noodles; that bowl is very big! Bigger than a face!
Self-service area: Cutlery, cups, seasonings, and cheese powder are all self-service!
It's been a long time since I've encountered a store willing to provide cheese powder for self-service. 😍
Shop interior space The seats are all arranged along the walls, which makes it a narrow and elongated shape.
At the entrance of the store: No outside food or pets allowed inside. This area is a business district, so be careful if you have other food with you!
From across the street, the shop sign is actually very big and very obvious. 👌
