Located near the Yongchun MRT Station, the "Cuckoo Bird Bakery" is one of my favorite and irreplaceable bakeries in Taipei. The warm baking shop greets you with the aroma of freshly baked bread, using quality ingredients, friendly prices, and consistent quality, along with a warm and enthusiastic owner.
The shop offers a rich variety of items, each with its own personality. I often buy the "Multigrain Nut Bread," which carries a strong citrus aroma from the orange peel and has perfectly balanced sweet and sour dried fruits, combined with the crunchy texture of nuts, creating a wonderfully layered experience.
The "English Chocolate Cookies" are particularly impressive; they are not sweet at all and are made with high cocoa content chocolate, offering a rich, bitter aroma that appeals to mature palates. I always buy them whenever I see them, haha.
The "Taro Bento" features layers of musky grapes, pudding, cake, and taro puree, providing a rich and distinct flavor profile, and at just 149 NTD, it’s super affordable.
The "Mentaiko French Bread" is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, paired with a fragrant mentaiko sauce, boasting a savory richness that offers layers of flavor with every bite.
The shop displays a variety of cakes, from individual portions to large sizes, with a wide range of options to satisfy different dessert lovers' needs.
Cuckoo Bird Bakery is not just a bakery for everyday supplies; it feels more like a healing corner in the midst of ordinary days. In this era where everything is silently getting more expensive, it still speaks through honest ingredients and genuine flavors, without any exaggerated gimmicks, quietly earning countless fans. This wonderful shop is one I always return to, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone around me.
