When coming to Anping, of course, you have to continue eating beef soup. This time we went to the second branch in Anping, where there’s air conditioning indoors, so you can rest comfortably away from the blazing sun outside. However, you still need to wait for a table during meal hours. What’s special here is that they serve warm-body beef hotpot where you can choose your cuts, hotpot ingredients, and vegetables. This time we opted for a more straightforward version and ordered more basic dishes, but it can still be called a beef feast (?)
✐ Beef Soup (Large) $170
· Indeed, there’s no bad beef soup in Tainan, and this place offers a lighter, sweeter option. However, compared to other places, it seems to lack memorable features. If we pass by next time, we might still come in for the ritual, but wouldn’t come specifically for a meal.
✐ Water Spinach with Beef (Large) $200
· This is good for sharing between 2-3 people. While the beef isn’t in large pieces, the portion is quite generous (and not small scraps). The water spinach is stir-fried to a nice crisp, and I really love the garlic aroma—it’s perfect with rice!
✐ Beef Fried Noodles $160
· I love this kind of traditional fried noodles! It has the fragrance of satay sauce and uses thicker noodles, which gives it a nice chewy texture. I think this could definitely be a bowl that one person can flaunt 😋
