Finding such delicious street food gives me an immense sense of achievement! 🔥 Since I was meeting friends in Daya, I casually Googled nearby eateries on the way and ended up discovering this place with pretty good reviews. I thought eating a meat sandwich in the afternoon wouldn’t make me too hungry or overly full.
First off, this place is located in a small alley, so you can’t drive in. If you use Google Maps for navigation, it's easy to miss, so I recommend parking and walking once you arrive. Otherwise, you might have to circle around a few times. Riding a scooter is quite convenient since there are many food shops nearby, and you might find more hidden gems (Right by the entrance, there’s a sweet potato ball shop you can check out).
The menu is quite rich, featuring cold noodles, sweet and savory meat sandwiches, and some side dishes. When I went, there were two people in line ahead of me. I overheard the boss chatting with the customer at the front, and I could tell from their accent that they were Chinese, so I guessed the flavors here should be very authentic. 🤓
I originally chose the spicy hot pot meat sandwich I wanted, but I didn’t notice that there was a limited menu mentioned beside it. From Tuesday to Saturday, there are special items available; for example, yesterday’s special was the spicy chicken flavor.
What I ordered was:
Wow, the portion sizes were really huge! The fillings were generous, and I thought I’d just have a light meal, but it turned out to be quite filling (praise!). I initially thought the extra vegetables would be just lettuce, so I didn’t add any, and the owner said they had only one egg left, which went with my family’s order.
After trying both, I sincerely! Very! Please! recommend everyone to order extra vegetables and an egg. The vegetables are from the transparent cabinet with iron trays (like vinegar-spiced potatoes, spicy lotus root, and spicy radish slices, etc., you can choose according to your preference), and the egg is a fried egg.
Combining them provides an explosion of flavor and a richer texture! (The meat sandwich itself is very fragrant, so if you like, you can order one to take home and steam it yourself.) My portion, while satisfying, gave me a feeling similar to eating tuna; after I finished, I felt it was somewhat monotonous and greasy.
However, my family’s portion was incredibly tasty and rich; they said we must come back and support this place again! 🔥 I recommend it to friends who are visiting or living nearby. Next time, I’ll try the boss’s cold noodles!
