There is a hidden gem outside the Qingguang Market, a classic of Hong Kong-style desserts is steamed milk, aptly named "Steamed Milk with Egg White" on the menu. Although it may seem plain and unremarkable when served, reminiscent of a failed tofu pudding, it melts in your mouth upon tasting. The texture is completely different from the common cheese, not to mention the rich milk flavor that is slightly sweet yet not overwhelming; even the plain version is delicious.
The only downside is that the shop has a small space, with only outdoor seating, which can be too hot during summer.
