📍Taipei Metro Zhishan Station
It's a short walk from the metro station, about 4 minutes. However, the store space is very spacious and bright. Unlike regular bakeries where you select your bread and then pay at the counter, here you tell the staff what you want through a glass window, and they will serve it for you at the counter. This method ensures that you don't have to do anything yourself, making it very hygienic.
Meals🥘
Butter Bread / 30 NT$:
Unlike other butter breads that are moist, Chengzhu's bread is baked to be incredibly soft, with plenty of air pockets inside. Taking a bite brings a delightful combination of sweet butter filling and the aroma of flour—it's an unbeatable combination!
Honeycomb Cake / 60 NT$:
This is Chengzhu's hidden gem and popular item. Its texture is not like ordinary cake and isn't like brown sugar cake either; it has a unique taste that is both sweet and chewy, slightly moist yet not overly sweet, making it highly recommended to try.
Chocolate Croissant / 58 NT$:
The croissant is a bit disappointing; it may have been out for a while, as the crispiness is somewhat lacking. However, the overall bittersweet chocolate paired perfectly with the croissant, making me want to give it another chance next time with a fresh-out-of-the-oven version.
Chengzhu Bakery not only excels in its environment but also in the quality of its bread. I feel the prices are only slightly higher than those of typical factory bakeries, making it a place I would specifically revisit.
P.S.: I want to become a bread superhero!
