Southern-style Meatballs - Chonglan Zhen Pingtung Meatballs. This is the "steamed" meatball from the south, a traditional delicacy that Chonglan people have enjoyed since childhood, with an aroma that has lingered for over 20 years. The filling inside the meatball is made with finely diced lean pork from the front legs, handmade. The special sauce is served in generous amounts, enhancing the deliciousness of the meatball.
Each meatball costs 15 TWD, about the size of a palm, containing around 5-6 pieces of meat. The outer skin is chewy and has a glutinous texture, melting in your mouth. Paired with garlic sauce, it's incredibly flavorful, leaving your mouth full of garlic taste, which feels delightful.
Pig's blood soup is one of the signature dishes from this place, only 20 TWD per bowl. They are very generous with the pig's blood, and it also comes with pickled vegetables and chives. The refreshing seasoning serves as a perfect complement after enjoying the meatballs, bringing a whole boost of energy!
