Dining Time: 2025/03/01
After wandering around the crowded temple night market and letting our stomachs rest, it's time to continue with some late-night snacks!
Located near the Kanciatian Fish Market, Zhu Tien Fresh Fish is mainly open from late-night snacks until breakfast. Every time we come, there are a lot of people lining up, and this time was no exception; we joined in the fun as well. The ordering process is done by lining up to place an order and pay first, then picking up the food to enjoy.
Here, in addition to sashimi, there are also sushi, hot soup, donburi, and other dishes. This time we ordered:
⭐️ Sashimi Platter 💰400
(The paper menu listed it at 350, but we were informed of a price increase at checkout.)
The sashimi platter has a standard selection. If you want to customize your selection, you'll need to draw a number and wait for it to be called at the venue. The pricing is based on weight, and since there were so many people, we just ordered the standard platter. The fish pieces were cut quite large, and the freshness was decent.
⭐️ Sweet Shrimp/2 pieces 💰100
⭐️ Sea Urchin/2 pieces 💰120
The staff also recommended additional items, and we added these two at checkout. The sweet shrimp was fresh, and the sea urchin had no off-flavors.
⭐️ Miso Soup 💰30
There were quite a few ingredients in the soup, and having a bowl on such a cool evening was really warming.
In summary, after checking other online reviews, some mentioned feeling unwell after their meal. However, I did not experience that. There are also many other stalls selling sashimi near Kanciatian, so if you don’t want to wait, you can take a look around and maybe find some nice new options (laughs).
