Recently, I visited a restaurant that left a deep impression on me — Circum. It was initially recommended by a friend, and since the online reviews were quite good, I went with the mindset of giving it a try. The overall experience turned out to be better than I expected... I can't say it was great by a lot, but at least I think I'll want to come back and try other items on the menu!

From the ambiance to the dishes and the wine selection, especially the drinks — all made me feel this is a restaurant with thoughtful ideas and attention to detail.

Upon entering, it wasn’t the kind of extravagant high-end restaurant; instead, it took a low-key and elegant approach. The space design was very clean and neat, with soft lighting that was slightly dim, creating a very comfortable overall atmosphere. The arrangement of tables was also quite good, not too close to the neighboring tables, so you didn't have to lower your voice too much while chatting, yet it maintained a quiet quality. I personally think it’s very suitable for dates, birthday celebrations, or just wanting to enjoy a nice meal and have a good conversation!

As for the dishes 🥘, the cuisine doesn’t deliver that explosive "wow" factor right away; instead, it allows you to savor it gradually and appreciate the intricate flavors! The seasoning is on the lighter side, which is very friendly for me. I especially liked the texture variations; some dishes had a combination of crispy, tender, or subtle aromas, providing a different experience while eating!

However, I think the most surprising aspect of Circum is their wine selection. This is something that really deserves special mention. In general, a restaurant's wine list might include just a few common red and white wines 🍷, but Circum clearly put thought into their selection. Not only is there a diverse range of regions, but there are also some less common boutique wineries, and even options for natural wines. The key point is that the sommelier asks you carefully about your preferred flavor profiles and discusses their wines with you. Their selection is generally less common outside, which completely brought out the mood I was hoping to find!

The service aspect is also worth mentioning. They handle the overall pacing very well; the dishes are served at a speed that doesn’t feel rushed but also not so slow that you’re starving. The staff are professional but not overly distant; they clearly explain the dishes without being too lengthy!

In summary, it’s the kind of restaurant that makes you want to return. It doesn’t go for viral trends; instead, it offers consistent quality, an elegant space, refined dishes, and thoughtful wine selections, making you feel very relaxed while thoroughly enjoying a meal!
