I can only say that this way of queuing really makes people tired, but that's the price you pay for a famous restaurant. Usually, you have to wait for about an hour to be able to sit down and eat; otherwise, I would generally recommend taking it away.
The roasted goose is a must-order. There are only two of us, so we ordered a quarter. At first bite, it was truly heavenly (cue the background music of the Food God~). How can meat be so juicy, tender, and sweet? Plus, because geese have more fat, it pairs perfectly with rice. However, the more you eat, those who are not used to greasiness might find it increasingly repulsive. So, I think for those who prefer lighter meals, even with four people, ordering just a quarter is enough 🤣.
Next, most of the restaurants in Hong Kong serve blanched vegetables primarily using long-stemmed and leafy Chinese mustard greens, which I think are less common in Taiwan. However, they are still very delicious when plated and drizzled with soy sauce.
Finally, to counteract the greasiness from the roast goose, you absolutely cannot miss the iced lemon tea. I find Hong Kong's lemon tea inexplicably delicious; they use yellow lemons instead of the green limes found in Taiwan. Many people might not know this! But it's definitely a drink you can enjoy every day as a popular hand-shaken beverage in Hong Kong.
