On the first day in Hong Kong, after eating at the famous roasted goose place, a junior colleague who works in Hong Kong took me to this egg tart shop that he believes has the best ones in Wan Chai. It's one thing to say it, but once you try it, you'll be amazed!

In Taiwan, it's hard to find authentic Hong Kong-style or Portuguese egg tarts; generally, just eating the tarts from KFC is enough to feel great happiness. Unexpectedly, although the tarts from this shop are small, the crispy pastry surrounding them melts in your mouth the moment it touches your lips, complemented by a filling that is both salty and sweet, creating various layers throughout the tart, unlike KFC, where you end up with just overwhelming sweetness. While this shop is a chain pastry shop in Hong Kong, their egg tarts are closer to the Portuguese style.

During meal times and on weekends, you might need to wait in line a bit, but I personally think it's worth the wait. Plus, the line moves quickly, giving you some time to pick up a few small items.
