Shangcun Ranch is located in Breeze Plaza on the 2nd floor of Taipei Main Station. It has become one of the restaurants that I always think of when I want to eat barbecue in Taiwan. There are a lot of seats in the store, and it can be visually estimated that about 20 to 25 groups of guests can dine at the same time. The separation between seats is quite good, and it will not be affected by the guests in the same row. Compared with the Cheers train next door, it will It’s a better place to chat while eating.
In terms of menu combination, there are a total of five levels of all-you-can-eat packages from A to E, plus occasionally there are special discounts that are not on the menu (for example, recently it was +200 for all-you-can-eat scallops, but it seems that it cannot be matched with special stores) Discounts can be used together, it is recommended to ask clearly before making plans). The items that can be ordered in each set meal are slightly different. Please also pay attention to the different configurations during meal times. Generally speaking, I think set B has the highest CP value. It is most suitable for first-timers. As for the higher-priced three Wagyu set meals, I ordered set C once. I thought the "Satsuma beef shabu-shabu" I had then was really ordinary. The meat parts were not oily. People who have eaten A5 grade Wagyu beef in Japan or other places may think it is ordinary, or the part that day is really average. In short, I can only say that for me, the C set meal that time was not good enough to be worth it. For that price, if you really want to eat or experience Wagyu beef, you may want to consider upgrading to a higher-level set meal at once. The Wagyu beef you can order may be more delicious.
For set B, those who want to feel like they’re getting their money back can go for beef tongue and diaphragm clearance, but those who want to eat more casually can also indulge in other meats because the price is relatively low, but still The beef is relatively delicious, and the seafood is not bad either.
A small disadvantage is that there are not many choices of drinks and desserts. Apart from the four types of drinks in the drink bar (Coke, 7Up, grape juice and lemon black tea), the only remaining ones are fruit tea, oolong tea and coffee that need to be ordered through the meal ordering method. The base of fruit tea is the taste of Taishan iced black tea, with various fruits added into it, which is pretty good. The sugar-free oolong tea is also very suitable for removing oil and greasiness. I mainly drink these two types later.
For dessert, you can order rice cakes to bake, which is pretty good. Matcha cakes are also delicious, but usually you don’t really have the stomach to eat them after eating the roasted pork haha, so you can order them to share with friends. The small puffs are filled with milk and ice. I also like this very much. Two of them are in one portion. If you don’t have enough, order more. It’s very satisfying.
