While passing by the Unified Center, I discovered that the famous Japanese chain restaurant Gyoza Oh has opened a branch in Taipei. Having eaten there before in Japan and finding it quite good, I decided to give the Taipei branch a try.
Although the restaurant is quite large, it was fairly crowded during the holiday meal time. However, this branch has seating available, so basically, people are queuing while sitting down, which is really nice.
After a while of waiting, I was seated. The restaurant uses a self-service ordering system, and I chose the Japanese-style signature dish, Tianjin fried rice.
The tea at Gyoza Oh is quite good; it's a refreshing tea with a slight sweetness that leaves a pleasant aftertaste.
As for the main dish, it was also up to standard. Compared to other Tianjin rice dishes made in Taiwan, it was definitely much better, though the price was on the higher side.
