### Dear Xiaolong Soup Dumplings
This time, I revisited "Dear Xiaolong Soup Dumplings" near the back station of Hsinchu Railway Station. Although the name of the store focuses on Xiaolong soup dumplings, I personally think their crispy pork ribs soup is even more amazing. This time I ordered Shanghai Xiaolong soup dumplings, taro pork ribs crispy soup, tube rice cakes and braised eggs.
### 🥟 Shanghai Xiaolong Soup Dumplings - $70
Their xiaolong soup dumplings don’t have a lot of soup, but they taste very fresh and sweet. The outer skin is not as thin as Din Tai Fung's, but slightly thicker and has a very chewy texture. The filling is mainly pork and green onion, and the filling is solid. There are 8 pieces in a cage and the price is reasonable.
### 🍲 Taro Pork Ribs Crispy Soup - $65
The taro stewed in this bowl of soup is so soft that it melts in your mouth. The pork ribs are first deep-fried and then stewed, and the meat also melts in your mouth. However, since the ribs are fried so thoroughly, the bones sometimes break apart, and you need to pick out the bones when eating, which is a little troublesome. The soup is very fresh and sweet, and the portions of crispy ribs and taro are also very generous. This soup is worth a special try.
### 🍚 Tongzi rice cake - $40
The tube rice cake is overall dry, the seasoning is not too salty, and the aroma of peanuts is very strong. Top it with a piece of pork and a small slice of shiitake mushroom. The mushrooms themselves were a bit too salty, the pork was a bit dry, and the overall presentation was mediocre.
### 🥚 Braised Egg - $15
The braised egg has a decent taste and is a common side dish choice.
### 📝 Overall Rating
The dining experience this time is similar to before. The crispy pork ribs soup series is still my most recommended. I have also tried the winter melon crispy pork ribs soup before, and it also melts in your mouth. The tube rice cake was mediocre and I may not order it again in the future.
Overall, this restaurant is a good choice, especially when friends come to Hsinchu, it is worth bringing them to try the crispy pork rib soup here.
